kicking this off is this brilliant mini documentary that tells the story of the much beloved Vans brand. directed by Eliot Rausch this 7 minute short film perfectly captures the essence of the brand. while the whole thing might be a bit over-sentimental, we’re sure you’ll enjoy hearing about the brand from Steve Van Doren, son of one of the brand’s co-founders. it’s really great to see family businesses still thriving at such at scale as Vans has managed to do so throughout its history. source: Suppaduppa blog

the wait is finally over! wow we never thought we’d say that. what seemed to be the never ending saga of Frank Ocean‘s proper debut album, after last year’s critically acclaimed Nostalgia, Ultra never got a label release, is now a story of the past. channel ORANGE is here to stay. like a 21st century Stevie Wonder, Frank Ocean is quickly turning into the quintessential singer-songwriter for modern times. however, this album is not to be dismissed as the latest industry hype, this is some serious music and should be regarded as such. funky, jazzy, and over all intelligent music that will surely stand the test of time. £TBA at Junosource: Spotify

famed for its close to perfect knitwear and its distinctive repeat patterns, italian brand Missoni rarely fails to impress at the fashion shows. although its prices are a quite a deal breaker for some, surely a single Missoni piece on your wardrobe will make you instantly stand out from the crowd. if anything their S/S 13 collection should serve as inspiration for our creative minds even it’s only through pretty pictures. have a look at some backstage shots from the recent fashion week runway. source: Dazed Digital
