you might be right about hyperdub not considering themselves a UK bass label. in reality they are an amalgamation of many sounds. but we can say this, our interpretation of bass music is very broad and we find it a good term to describe the music that we enjoy with a single term, whether it’s classic house, techno, dubstep, hip-hop, etc.

as this is false critism, imo and what now the interpretation is for uk bass, is hyperdub def not a so called ‘uk bass’ label. I don’t think they see themselves as that or find it an appropriate name
