goodhood = for those that know!

since arriving in london, the colectivo has been running across countless sources of inspiration. whether it’s a dope brand, a nice shop, great design, or just great people; this city has a lot to offer. that being said, we must confess that goodhood is one of those brands that we’ve been enamored with upon first sight. the store-cum-gallery-cum-clothing label is one of those rare occurrences of a brand that does it all and does it exceptionally well.

their physical shop, established back in 2007 and embedded on a side street in between Old Street and Shoreditch, is a small but well curated space featuring both mens and womenswear, as well as other essential items, such as magazines, books, and homeware. housing some of our favorite brands, such as wood wood, norse projects, ymc, and their very own collaborations with the elusive r. newbold; the shop is a treat to spend time browsing in. however for those unable to reach their shop in London, there’s always the great looking web shop, which is not only practical to browse, but also has a great graphic design aesthetic and it’s certainly a central piece of the goodhood’s social outreach with fantastic brand insights, season specific product features, and wallet-pleasing sales (i.e.best of british sale)

to complement their excellent clothing and accessories selection, goodhood also shares a collaborative gallery space with galeries goldstein. the space is host to exhibitions from thought-provoking artists, such as Petro, lithuanian cartoon company Keista Medis Animacija Imons, and most recently Mark Mulroney. in summary, these are shows that perfectly complement the aesthetics of the shop’s clothing and moreso their above mentioned  collaborations with r. newbold.

if you’re based in London or coming to town soon, we strongly suggest a visit to both the shop and the gallery. trust us, you will not be disappointed. if you’re not, go on with yer badself and click on some of the images to start browsing their online shop. also, keep track of their excellent blog for some nice features and posts. finally, make sure you subscribe to their also great looking newsletter for product updates and other news.
